Cockpit table tricks

The cockpit table on SV Angelique is fairly large and has versatile features which may take time to discover, hence I rather share the obvious and less obvious features below:

Table lamp

USB connector

• Table lamp - the lamp is stored in the bottom right 1 cabinet in the saloon. You just need to lift the round cover on the table, stick the lamp into the connector, and pull the plastic cone around the lamp stick down to secure the lamp in its place

• USB charger - there are two USB connectors on the bow end of the cockpit table, underneath the table. You need to press the cover on the front top side, to let the cover open up. USB connectors hang top down.

• Lowering the table wings - the table wings are held in open position by two metal holders on both sides. These holders have two pieces. The outside pieces have a small, black soft pad. You need to put your index finger on these pads, slightly lift the table wing, push the soft pads simultaneously (they will move only a few mm) and lower the wing. Mind your knees! Once the table wings hang vertically, push their surface further to get the wings fixed in their bottom position in a clamp.

• Fridge - the aft container that opens from the surface of the table is a fridge. Temperature knob is inside. Should liquid accumulate inside, there is a hole cover underneath which once opened allows the fluid leave

• Container box - the bow container that opens from the surface of the table is a dry container. Ideal place for smaller items: phone, charging cable, gloves, etc
