Plancha grill - use baking paper to save time at cleaning?

SV Angelique has a plancha grill installed, which can be comfortably operated from the swimming platform.

Hints on how to use it:
1) Before you start, it is best to open up the benches on both side, to move the cushions further away from the grill, as oil spots can make them messy.
2) The grill is heated by gas, which can be ignited with the piezo electric button on the right hand side of the grill. If you move your ear closer to the grill, you can clearly notice when does the gas start burning. A few seconds later you can also feel the heat, from the surface of the grill. You will need to keep pressing the gas button for a few seconds, to make the flame stay.
3) Before you load any food on the grill, I strongly advise to cover the metal surface of the grill with baking paper. This should be available in one of the kitchen cabinets. Please check it out before leaving the marina at Kastela.
This will take the oil, grease, and any food particles that normally would burn and stick to the grill surface. Instead of labor intensive, tiring clean-up procedure, you can just throw most of mess away together with the paper.
4) Once finished cooking, best is to soak up the oil and grease with a kitchen paper towel from the surface of the paper, and then carefully remove the paper into the garbage. You do not want to leave the messy paper on the grill without any food on it, as a breeze or the wind can easily blow it away, messing up everything on its way.
5) Never close down the lid of the grill while cooking, or while the grill is hot. Let it cool down, before cleaning up and packing it away.
Enjoy your meal!
Regards, Laszlo
